Alappuzha Beach
A popular picnic spot, this beach is located near to the town. The pier, which extends into the sea here, is over 137 years old. One of the great fascinations for the visitors here is the nearby lighthouse and entertainment facility at the Vijaya Beach Park. The park offers boating facilities and a children's park with toy train and bicycles.

Pathiramanal
Pathiramanal is a must visit place for those who are bird lovers. It is about 1 ½ hour drive from Allapuzza. Pathiramanal is a refuge for hundreds of rare birds migrating from different parts of the world. Pathiramanal is only accessible only by boat as it is surrounded by Vembanad Lake , stretching from Alapuzza to kochi and Kayambulam Lake .

Kuttanad
One prominent place in the city of Alapuzza is the kuttanad. It is also called the rice bowl of Kerala. Kuttanad has sea surrounded on one side and huge hills on another side.Kuttanad streches for about 75 km. It is believed to be the Lone place in the world where farming is done below sea Level.

Ambalapuzha Krishna Temple
A visit and a through examination to this temple, dedicated to lord Krishna, will help the Visitors to gain a good knowledge of the Keralian architecture. Arthunkal
Twenty two kilometers north of Sherthallai lies the pilgrim centre. Arthunkal . The town is known for St Andrews church as it was brought into prominence by the Portuguese missionaries. Every January the holy feast of saint Sebastian is held here.

Chavara Bhavan
Chavara Bhavan is situated about 6 kms away from Alapuzza and can be reached only by boat. Presently, Chavara Bhavan is a holy shrine and a spiritual resort where thousands of pilgrims come here to gather for prayers. A 250 year old historical beacon of light is preserved here.in its original or true form.

Edatgya Church
Twenty two Kilometres from Tiruvalla Road stands the Edatgaya church. Dedicated to saint George the church was established in A.D. 1810. The followers and believers visit the church from all the parts of the south India during the annual festival held in the first Week of may.

Krishnapuram Palace
Krishnapuram Palace is situated about forty seven Kilometres from Allapuzza. The The palace presents a rare style of Keralian type of Architecture. The palace once harboured the rulers of Kayamkulam kingdom. The palace was renovated some time During the 18th century and is complete with gabbled roofs, narrow corridors and dormer Windows. Having these features, the palace becomes unique and has been declared as the Protected monument by the department of archeology. Mural Paintings can be found here In this palace, which also happens to be the largest single band of wall paintings. Other attraction include a large garden and a Buddha statue.
