Rajasthan is our love. No matter how many
tours we do here, the insatiable desire always remain. There is so much romance and color
that needs to be experienced and explored here. We will not just deal with the
architectural delights, we will look at opportunities to step off the tourist tracks to
visit unexplored Rajasthan, where life is as it used to be 3-4 centuries behind the
present time. We want you to experience the Rajasthani Heritage here. You can stay in the
former homes of the erstwhile royalty of this city. The places are replete with character,
and old world charm. You can walk out of the building and step into a town of the past.
The feudal respect that the locals still have for the Royalty as well as the disarming
hospitality of the people would be akin to experiencing a 'Living Museum'. The people in
this city are the most colorful and most photogenic. In fact, if you are interested in
taking pictures - this is heaven on earth!
I will draw a little comparison with
Medieval European places such as Bath or Durham in England or Toledo in Spain. These are
amazingly preserved cities with period buildings, architecture and even the cobbled
pathways are as they were centuries behind time. But, can you imagine how these cities
would be if you also had the people from that era living and carrying on with their
day-to-day lives in the same way as they used to when the town was set up? This is what I
am attempting to bring to you.
Each day there happens a festival in
honor of a custom or to appease a local deity. Nowhere is this better celebrated than in
these feudal areas where tradition has such deep roots and they have been retained. For
you to witness the atmosphere and festivity outside the village temples or in the village
square would be an experience to cherish.
Our guides and our tours are specially
trained to bring to life this aspect of this city alive for our guests. The fact that we
step off the tourist trail a few times is an expression of our intent to acquaint you with
indian culture - experience typical lifestyles and work places. If you view our signature
itinerary you would notice that the first part of the trip does have a few 'one night
affairs', but why? That part of the trip is supposed to be "the baptism into
India" part of the trip. We are traveling very short distances. Each ride is not more
than 2-3 hours, but, I want it to be longer, pray why? You have to be bitten by the India
bug, and, where do you experience the best bugs? Yes, each destination suggested is
fascinating and charming, but the real India is seen when you travel from one destination
to the other. This is where real India exists untouched by modern times. With the help of
our trained drivers I want you to get off your car, make that friendly people contact.
Walk into the villages, experience the hospitality as you visit a typical home, see the
tribal arts etc. I want you to experience this at an unhurried pace without having to
worry about achieving long distances. Have a look at our photo gallery for some of the
images that you can expect.
We invite you to explore not just the
sights and sounds of this amazing state, but, we also want you take back with you vivid
and delicate memories of the vibrant lifestyles of this city. The traditional living, the
primitive crafts and occupations, and, above all the soul stirring hospitality and
humanness would leave an indelible mark on your hearts. This is our mission and our
objective when we take you on tours to this memorable city.
